I know how hard it is to be weighed down with worry and wonder if things will ever get better. You can feel it in your body as your breathing becomes shallow and rapid, perhaps your heart rate increases and your palms feel sweaty, you may even feel paralyzed with incapacitating fear. You may also notice how it takes over your mind with racing thoughts and worries that you just can’t stop. These thoughts play a constant stream of “what ifs” convincing you that the worst thing will happen. And you may even feel that it has taken over your life as it interrupts your sleep, distracts you from getting things done, makes you less productive at work, or keeps you from enjoying activities with friends and loved ones.
